INFO FROM SARDIS: PLEASE READ

We are looking forward to hosting the 10&under all-star meet at Sardis on Wednesday. Here's more information about the meet.

Location and parking: Sardis is at 7400 Thermal Road. We have a somewhat small parking lot, and we will reserve four spaces for each team (two for coaches, and two for team reps/volunteers). Parking attendants will direct you to spaces and keep track of team affiliates who have arrived. Please ask your team families NOT to park in the spaces in front of the tennis courts when you first pull into the club -- we need to keep those open for Wednesday evening tennis players. There will be plenty of available parking in the neighborhood around Sardis, and we ask that everyone park on one side of the road and be respectful of people's yards. Drivers are welcome to pull into the Sardis parking lot to drop off swimmers, and they will be directed back to the neighborhood for parking when the lot is full.

Team seating: Swimmers, coaches, and volunteers only will sit in designated places on deck throughout the meet -- they will be marked with signs with team names. No parents allowed in these areas other than designated volunteers.

On-deck seating: We will have a small seating area for spectators, so families should limit how many people attend. All spectators must sit on the left side of the deck when they enter the pool area (do not sit beyond the diving boards), and we will close the seating area when it gets full. We have a patio outside and a lawn with areas for seating, but you can't see the pool very well from either. Spectators should not move out of the designated spectator area during the meet -- they can get a poolside view of their swimmer's heat from their seating area.
Food: Our snack bar will be open throughout the meet, and we also will have pizza, grilled chicken wraps, and Chick-Fil-A sandwiches for sale upstairs in our clubhouse. Cards and cash are accepted.
Masks: Sardis does not require masks.
Heat sheets: Each team should print its own heat sheets for its volunteers and coaches.
Warmups: We will hold three, 15-minute warmup sessions. Each team will have three lanes. 6-6:15 p.m. Sardis (lanes 1-3) and OG (lanes 4-6) 6:15-6:30 p.m. Providence Plantation (lanes 1-3) and BCC (lanes 4-6) 6:30-6:45 p.m. Windyrush (lanes 1-3) and FXE (lanes 4-6)
Clerk of course: Sardis will provide all clerk of course volunteers at the ready benches for individual events, which will be set up by the diving boards. Please ask your clerk of course volunteers to walk your swimmers over to the benches when their event is called. We will take short breaks between each stroke to allow swimmers to rest and reset for the next set of events. Each team's clerk of course volunteers can walk their relay teams directly to their lanes. No one should be behind the blocks other than swimmers competing in the upcoming heats, timers (when relevant), and clerk of course volunteers. It's imperative that we keep this area clear, and please stress to your swimmers that they must return to your team's designated area between events.
Volunteer meeting: The volunteer meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. at the end of the pool closest to the entrance. Remember we will not need runners or data entry volunteers.
GO OG!!!
