Follow up about this week's practice

Hey OG! We wanted to take a moment to fill everyone in on the events that happened at the pool this week now that we have gotten some additional information from the pool management company (SCMG) via the HOA board.

On Wednesday at practice, the water was green and SCMG was on site fixing it. We were informed that there was a chemical imbalance so the shrimpers were kept out of the water. After SCMG got the chemicals to the correct level and told us it was safe to swim, we allowed the 10 and under group to get in the pool. Then there was a reaction in a chlorine bucket in the pool house (the loud bang everyone heard). We got the kids back out of the pool until SCMG gave us a safety clearance. No one was in the pool house at the time of that issue and no one was hurt. We blocked off the area around the pool house out of an abundance of caution for the remainder of practice. Early Thursday morning the HOA was made aware of an electrical issue with the pool’s pump. They are working diligently with SCMG to fix the pump, but in the meantime we have had to cancel practice and the pool is closed (see HOA communication). At some point a concerned community member called the fire department who responded and posted a sign to deter anyone from swimming. We hope to be back swimming laps together next week once all of these issues are resolved but will keep you posted.

Here is the HOA communication in case you didn't receive it.
