Our first meet of 2023 is tomorrow at Foxcroft East and here is what you need to know!!! Reminder: There is no practice tomorrow only the meet.

OLDE GEORGETOWNE @FOXCROFT EAST SWIM MEET INFORMATION

When: Monday, June 5th, 2023

Where: 7701 Fairview Road Charlotte, NC 28226

OG SWIMMER ARRIVAL TIME: 5 pm

OG WARMUPS: 5:30pm

MEET START TIME: 6:00pm

PARKING: The main entrance is off of Fairview and includes a parking lot that is reserved for OG . We will have a parking director on duty; tell them you are with OG. Be careful, Fairview Road around here is a speedway! You can also park on neighborhood streets. There is a footpath from Valencia Terrace near Edenton Road to the club pool. Please respect homeowners and do not park on the grass and make sure your car does not block driveways or street access. When parking on Valencia Terrace, please park only on the side of the street with your car facing Fairview Road. Cars on the opposite side of the street will be subject to towing.

SEATING: OG will be provided the section on the opposite side of the pool (close to the grassy field) for their team seating. Please bring your own chairs.

POOL: The deep dive end (area with the diving board), the shallow end and the baby pool are closed during the meet and no one should be in there.

CONCESSIONS: Concession stand near the pavilion will serve buttered noodles and a variety of chips, juice, water, candies, etc. Taystee Ice Italian Ice will be selling their frozen treats.

FOOD TRUCK ALERT: Potbelly BBQ will be there ready to serve at 5:00pm.

Jolyn will be on site selling swim suits.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

Heat sheets will be ready sometime tomorrow, usually by 12pm, and I will send them out when they are available. How to read a heat sheet: See the heat sheet section on swimtopia! See here.

Volunteers should have received an email from Julie Caldwell with your volunteered for positions. Please check in with Julie at the meet and we will help get you to the correct place!

A few other notes:

• Swimmers may ONLY wear OG swim caps or a cap with NO writing. Swim caps from other teams (year round/high school) are not allowed.
• Parents of OLDER swimmers-please encourage your swimmer to wear their OG team suit. Thank you!
• OG has been known for their sportsmanship for years. Please encourage our swimmers to be good sports and citizens. Make sure we cheer for everyone. Tell others good job and make sure we help clean up our area at the end of the meet. Thank you!!!!
• Parents PLEASE help your swimmer be aware of when/what they are swimming. It is very hard for coaches to run around finding swimmers and/or having swimmers asking them the coaches when they swim. Thank you!

Our t-shirt and caps have not come in yet so please wear a previous years t-shirt or wear a royal blue or bright green shirt if you don't have one from a previous year. PLEASE bring any and all extra OG swim caps that you may have at home as we made need to use them since our caps have not come in yet.
