Due to a variety of factors –

• Size of this meet (nearly 300 swimmers)
• League rules & noise ordinance in the neighborhood to finish the meet by 10pm
• Limited exposure we’ve had to some swimmers given cold pool temperatures, practice cancellations, etc.

...we’ve entered swimmers in events that we believe they can swim confidently, legally, and within a certain time. Our goal is to continue learning all four strokes so that swimmers can be added to new events as the season progresses.

In certain age groups, we have over 20+ swimmers. For relays, we can enter a maximum of 3 per age group (total of 12 swimmers). We assign relays based on times and legal strokes. We re-evaluate these before every meet.  Given the size of this meet, we have had to drop down to 2 relays max per age group.
